Michael James Egerton was born in the UK in 1975. From an early age he excelled in school. During the home computer boom of the early 1980s Michael developed an aptitude for programming computers. Michael completed secondary education at the age of 12, going on to study philosophy and English literature at university level in his mid-teens.
In 1992 Michael began training in the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun, the concepts of which underpin many of his philosophies. Michael trained with renowned practitioners such as William Cheung, Samuel Kwok, Daniel Inosanto and Ip Chun.
From 1994-2004 Michael worked as a private investigator, making 568 arrests and the largest civil recovery for retail theft ever recorded.
In 2004 Michael completed postgraduate study MA Chinese Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London) and BPP Law School. But it was his experience in Wing Chun that ultimately brought him to Hong Kong.
In 2008 Michael launched his first company which has become the backbone of his operations. He has a keen interest in consumer rights
Today Michael is best known for his expertise in language proficiency for aeronautical communications, drawing from the experience in using police radios.
In 2020 two textbooks on Technical English for Aircraft Maintenance from series of 12 were published.
